Kati Brick

Kati Brick is a friend of the Kellers from Maria’s school. By day she blogs about gluten-free and earth-friendly living and sells Send Out Cards. Formerly, she has 18 years of retail experience as a senior buyer from Marshall Field’s and as a director of inventory management at ShopNBC. She and her husband Jim have two daughters who attend school with the Keller kids.

Aaron Keller

Aaron Keller is Maria’s father and advocate of “all things books.” By day he is the co-founder and managing principal at Capsule, a brand identity design firm in Minneapolis. In addition, Aaron holds his MBA and teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas and the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. He, along with Maria’s brother Ryan, work hard to help Maria in her endeavors.

Maura Keller

As mother of Maria, Maura works closely with Maria to help her on your road to collecting 1 million books for needy kids. By day, Maura is a freelance writer and editor, writing for dozens of regional and national publications. She recently published her first book, Design Matters: Portfolios. Maura is passionate about literacy and instilling a love of reading in children.

Janine Heffelfinger

Janine Heffelfinger became a friend of the Keller family after meeting Maria’s Dad, Aaron, through business.  Formerly Director of Brand Design for General Mills, by day Janine now works part-time as a brand and customer experience consultant.  With with two grown daughters living on the east coast, Janine finally has plenty of time to read.
